What could you do with audiophile grade ICs? Our goal is to fulfill the potential of solid state amplifiers by providing best in class audio IC designs. Even in the 21st century, high-end vacuum tube electronics are still considered to have a more pleasing sound than their transistor based counterparts. This means that no commercially available solid state designs are the equal of well designed but antiquated vacuum tube technology. Volumes have been written about why this is so. To sum up the situation, the issue is nonlinearity in the amplifier gain stages. These nonlinearities generate distortion, which degrade the sound. The conventional approach is to use feedback to linearize the circuit. However; feedback is insufficient to eliminate all distortions. Transistors have an internal signal dependent nonlinearity that is not corrected by external circuit feedback, which gives rise to distortion. The uncorrected distortion is simply amplified by the rest of the circuit. This effect is entirely absent in vacuum tubes. Understanding this, we have developed a patent pending design to maximize solid state performance. Time for some innovation.
